A hardy, healthy tree that is covered in delicate white blossom in late spring and produces orange fruits in autumn that can be used to make preserves. Ideal for smaller gardens and apple orchards. Water before planting. Dig a hole as deep as the root ball and twice as wide. Mix compost into the soil as you plant the tree. Water well and in dry weather until established. Apply an annual mulch of manure or compost around the base of the plant. Requires very little pruning. Remove diseased or crossing branches from late autumn to mid-winter.
